CHEMEX® has introduced a new, clever electric kettle they call the Gooseneck Chettle™. The oddly named Chettle™ is attractively designed, intelligent and a top performer. It is a perfect match for brewing with CHEMEX® coffeemakers, teamakers or any pouroverdevice you may have. The shape plays upon their now iconic hourglassprofile, the gooseneck spout is curved and pointed for pouring perfectly,the induction base has been engineered to heat water to the exactselected degree. It has a warming feature to maintain the temperaturefor 30 minutes. This product is so unique that it likely to beaconversation piece as much as it will be an integral part of your dailyroutine.

The induction heat:

The induction heating technique transfers electrical energy by induction from a wire coil located in the base to the kettle. When the base is powered on, a high frequency alternating current is transferredthrough the coil, creating a dynamic magnetic field. Induction heating is used frequently in restaurant kitchens for rapid heat transfer. By placing the kettle on the base it generates induced electriccurrents in the metal bottom, heating the kettle and its contents.

Housed within the base are electrical components which control thepower management, temperature measurement and accuracy. In order tofunction properly these components must be kept cool.  We sourced a highquality fan, with good air flow capacity. Through testing we insuredthat the noise level is comparable to other electric water kettles onthe market (56 db).
