  • Carbon steel burrs like these dull faster than ceramic but cut a more consistent particle size for espresso – plan on replacing them roughly every 1000 lbs of beans, sooner if you’re running darker roasts since bean oils accelerate wear. Confirm left-hand rotation before ordering: mixing up rotation direction is the single most common burr-ordering mistake, and a right-hand burr won’t grind correctly in a left-hand carrier.
