This plastic sleeve adapts the slightly larger-diameter group that La Pavoni introduced in 2001 for better thermal performance – it keeps portafilter fitment correct on Millennium-era groups.

- This sleeve exists specifically because La Pavoni increased group diameter by 2mm in 2001 for better heat retention – if your portafilter feels loose or won’t lock in properly on a Millennium-era machine, a missing or worn sleeve is a likely, often-overlooked cause.
